Hi Scotty,
I would like to have your opinion about owning a 2023 Volvo XC90 ( non-electric ) we are are a family of four and I would love to have a reliable, efficient and long lasting vehicle. Is Volvo a good choice ?

Consider something from Honda or Toyota instead. Highlander, Rav4, Venza if you want hybrid, Pilot, etc.

The XC90 is a good choice for a luxury 3-row SUV. Volvos are typically more reliable than other European luxury vehicles and they hold their value better than other European competitors (Mercedes, BMW, etc.).
