Hi Scotty & Scotty Community!
After a few weeks of my 1992 4Runner 3.0L V6 3VZE occasionally failing to completely start (it would just sit there & crank forever), I broke down & took it to my trusted shop. Their fix was to replace the distributor & that solved it, but since my wimpy engine is even slower & is burning a lot more gas....getting 200 miles per tank versus the 330 or so I would usually get on the highway beforehand.
Timing & idle RPM's are up to Toyota spec, spark plugs look fine, & the air filter is clean.
Where to go from here?
Thank you in advance for any advice!

Yeah but true that all the engine probably needs rebuilding the wet and dry test to see what happened
