Scotty,
I have a 64 Ford Galaxie 500 352 engine hard top. She had some serious rear ended sag so I just put new leaf springs in. I installed leaf springs for a convertible on the advise of a friend, because convertibles are a bit Heavier. The car sits level now but I am old school and I want it to have a bit of a rake. I want the rear up another 2 inches. I want to do it on the cheep. Can you suggest something? Is there a air shock out there that will do the trick?
If you want to do air ride on the cheap ..
I think those two words dont mix
Back in the day there used to be helper leaves that you could bolt on for things like carrying extra loads or trailer towing. I had a set of those on an old Fairlane wagon ages ago that was used for hauling a lot of stuff. Maybe something like that is still available? (I don't recall though how much they might have lifted the rear with no load back there.)
Just for grins I looked it up and apparently they are still being made:

Aside from getting new leaf springs that are designed to raise the rear end, the cheap way to do it is to get 2 inch steel blocks to go between the axle and the leaf springs and you'll need longer u-bolts to accommodate them. Air shocks would work but would require much more work and would need and air compressor installed in the car, so it'd be more expensive too.
You could lower the front instead. Replace your front springs.
