Should I change the CVT fluid

Hi Scotty, I have a 2018 Honda Accord LX with 65,000 miles which I purchase used. I don’t believe the CVT transmission fluid has ever been changed. Do you think it would be a good idea to change the fluid now or will I risk running into slippage? If anyone knows the right answer I believe it’s you. So many mixed emotions on the internet. I’ve also called a few different Honda Service Departments and they both said different things. Thanks a lot, love your videos!!

If you heard anybody say it is lifetime fluid, don't believe that. Well, I guess it is, because if you don't change it, the transmission will die with that same fluid, likely much sooner than if you change it regularly.

I would change it. I changed my 2018 Corolla at 60,000 miles. No problems so far it has 68,000 miles now. Make sure you use the Honda CVT fluid for your tranny. Its expensive, but I would not use other type.
