71 corvette small block 4spd non a/c blower motor needs possibly a bigger fuse (more amps) in fuse block

So I am replacing a heater blower motor that has failed with a new unit. However, what I have been reading is that these new units draw more than 10 amps (which is the fuse rating in the fuse box). The solution (from what i have read) is to change the 10 amp to 15 amps. Is that a good idea. I don't want a melt down in the wiring if I go this route, These new units do not indicate a current draw

Definitely not.

Fuses are there to protect the wiring, not the device. Do not change fuse ratings. Either use a motor with the same rating, or run a new circuit for your more powerful motor.
