Hi I have a 72 Chevelle with a 454 big block mostly all original but anyway just like any other day, getting off of work I got that long stretch of highway, I was running A little hard at least testing the power It wasn't till after I begin to hear more of a ticking noise on the driver side than the passenger side and I need help locating the problem hopefully it's something simple that needs to be tightened or changed.

From your description it is likely a valve lifter or exhaust manifold leak. (A video demonstrating the noise uploaded to youtube might help us identify it.) Try using a mechanic's stethoscope or a length of hose to help pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
