Scotty! I have a 2014 hyundai genesis coupe 2.0T with a A8LR1 8 speed automatic with 68k miles. The car is tuned making around 335hp 400lb torque at the crank. I'm wanting to service the fluid so it lasts as long as possible. No problems with it at least that I can notice. No codes and I'm the first owner. Plan on keeping it tell im old. I race the car occasionally so its been over 150mph for short periods, but i keep it highly maintained. I watched all your videos but still hesitant. It has a complex atf fluid level check. The kind that requires scan tool and a lift which I dont have. But if I measure exactly what comes out and put dealer fluid back in I should be fine right? It takes sp-iv-RR full synthetic. Also should I change filter which is part of pan or leave it? Let me know your thoughts please. Thank you for all you do!

I honestly wouldn't race in a Hyundai product. If your vehicle is due for a change, you can change the fluid, filter and pan but you should be careful. Changing the fluid could damage the transmission and since you do racing on occasion, it may ruin the transmission. Do it at your own risk.

I wouldnt Race in anything other than a Hyundai honestly. But that's just me, I enjoy my car. Thanks for the advise though. I already watched that video... just looking for a different answer but I guess it is what it is. What I think iv decided is to let it be and if it blows I'll replace it. I dont want to cause pre mature slippage. Wish me luck!
