I own a 1991 Ford F150 with probably around 200,000 miles. It has the 5.0 V8 which at the time was the 302 windsor, and an AOD transmission as I recently found by crawling underneath and recognizing the 14 bolt pan. In trying to get it up to spec for NYS inspections I want to get that error code (85) taken care of. As far as my understanding leads, code 85 is for the Transmission solenoid, however I cannot find any documentation online as to the location of these part(s?) or which one to buy as there seems to be a couple.

Check the Vapor Canister Purge Valve/Solenoid (Ford P/N E9DZ-9C915-A) and its wiring.
