92 Accord ABS light

Hi Scotty,  I discovered you on Youtube 10 years ago and watch you almost daily.  I'm a big fan of 80s-90s Asian commuters, mostly the Accord and I appreciate your history/documentaries on Asian cars.  I've got a 2018 accord EX, 1992 accord EX, and 1988 accord LX (not running-  I could use your help with this one, nobody wants to deal wiith the carbearator, but I live in Colorado).

I mainly drive the 92 Accord EX.  It's basically perfect, but I think I may have caused some damage to the ABS system or ABS sensor this winter when fighting to get the car up a steep/snowy hill near my house.  Half way up the hill I lost traction and I ossilated the steering wheel quickly back and forth in attempt to gain traction to the top of the hill, which worked, but the ABS light has been on since.  It sometimes takes a moment of driving before the light pops up, but other times it comes on instantly after the car has sat all night.  I'm guessing that the sensors are on the front wheels only?  If it's just a sensor issue does that mean the ABS system still potentially works, or will it not work all together if the sensor isn't detecting breaks locking?  The car is in near perfect condition (170K miles).  I don't want to spend money to fix this issue, but having a light on the dashboard irritates me.  I've considered cutting black electrical tape to cover the light.  I've also thought about slamming the breaks on to see if I can feel the ABS working, but I haven't done so yet.  Thank you,  Ben

If your brakes are working fine, then the ABS module doesn't need to be replaced. It could be the sensor.
