i bought a 92 ford festiva , i'm having a mechanic go through the engine ( replacing gaskets , water pump , thermostat , and timing belt ) he will also be going through the breaks and suspension . with gas prices rising is this car worth the expense of doing all this to it ?
Had you not bought it yet I would have said no, as in this day and age a Festiva is worth nothing. I really hope you paid hardly anything for it. However, you already bought it. Ultimately, at this point only you can decide. Find out how much it will cost and then figure out if you want to spend that amount on that car. It must be really hard to find Festiva parts these days.
No, I don't think it is
No way. There are many cars that are better than the ford festiva. I think you should have bought a different car as the festiva is worth absolutely nothing. The gas doesn't matter because you are already spending a lot on these expensive repairs right now. I bet your mechanic is just trying to make money off of you and you didn't even need to replace all that stuff after all. Maybe you should get yourself a live data scan tool and see what is actually wrong with the car before getting such expensive repairs done to such a wothless, tiny car. The 03-08 corolla got about the same mpg, but had double the power, more space, and lasts way longer. Additionally, smaller and older are bad combos for safety. Your dead if someone hits you in that thing.
I'm sorry but its not, its worth scrap value.
Well how much did you pay for it? How much is it going to cost? And what shape is the car in otherwise?
