My car was starting fine but then i went and messed with the distributer and put a new one in now the car will crank but will not start any suggestions?

Have you tested the new distributor? The new one seems to be faulty.

You probably installed it in the wrong position so that your ignition timing is totally off, or, you mixed up the wires so the firing order is wrong.
