Hi all,
I have a 95 Dakota 5.2l (318). First start in the morning (or after a number of hours) cranks for a good 2 seconds before turning over.
After that first long start, it starts right up throughout the day.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

I don’t know if I would consider two seconds all that bad for a cold start on a Dodge Dakota of that vintage.
My 90 Dakota (slightly different fuel delivery system) behaves similarly. Having a good strong battery helps, and sometimes I wonder if the fuel pumps on these trucks could deliver a little stronger 😊
Thank you, sir!
