Dear Scotty,
My name is Gary Osborne and I really enjoy your videos. On the last video I watched I caught that you lived in Houston and you also made a reference to “my customers”. With that in mind, I thought you might be able to provide me a referral for a mechanic for a car problem or perhaps my problem would be within your scope of expertise.
I have a small collection of cars and one is a 96 Jaguar XJS V-12 convertible with 40,000 miles. It’s a great car but I had to place it in storage for a while building a new mancave at a new residence. It sat for quite a while and when I went back to get it, it started right up but would only go about 5 MPH. It has been sitting for several more years now and will no longer even start. I have since removed the nasty old gas. I am assuming that the fuel system is the problem due to bad gas and sitting. I would like to get a new fuel pump and filter and rebuild the injectors in hopes that those components would solve the problem.
Finding someone to work on a Jaguar has become an adventure. And “yes” I contacted the Jaguar dealer first and they won’t work on a Jag this old. Ideas?
Respectfully,
Gary Osborne
