97 CRV overheating.

97 CRV is overheating. Replaced hoses, fans, thermostat, temp sensor and the gauge still goes up. What should I do? The next thing I’m planning is to take it to the Honda dealer. I am done spending money on mechanics and not fixing the problem.  Thank you.

Big mistake. They'll take you to the cleaners if they'll even work on a 27-year-old car to begin with. That thing is older than most of the mechanics you'll find at a dealer.

Have you checked the radiator for clogs? Do the fans turn on when the engine heats up? Also see the troubleshooting section of the site FAQ.

@chucktobias Thank you. I took it to a mechanic and replaced the head gasket. Also, radiator, hoses and temp sensor and now, there’s white smoke coming out of the car.

Unless it's condensation on a cold day that goes away when the engine warms up it sounds like the head gasket job was botched.
