My '99 4Runner with 3.4L engine and 155,000 KM (100K miles) and there is strong smell of gas from the tail pipe when the engine is cold and it seems to go away after it warms up. I've cleaned the MAF sensor using spray cleaner and I've dropped the MAF sensor while I was cleaning it. Does a damaged MAF will cause smell of gas from the tail pipe?
Does MAF easily damage if you drop MAF?

MAF sensors are very sensitive instruments so yes you may have damaged it by dropping it.

So your car runs rich now and the possibility of damaged MAF sensor is high.
