scottykilmer.com Good morning Scotty, I follow your YouTube channel where I have learned a lot but I have a problem with my 1999 Suzuki Esteem 1.8L car. In the OBDII scanner I get the code P0340 Camshaft position sensor. When I look for information on the internet it gives me two options and It confused me because some present it as a camshaft and others present it as a crankshaft so I don't know which is which?

code P0340 Camshaft position sensor.

Always read the WHOLE fault definition. They always give more detail than just the name of a sensor.

P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

circuit malfunction means the problem can be anywhere in the circuit. You battery, the wiring harness & connectors, the computer etc...

Research your code on obd-codes.com (or look in our FAQ). Follow the troubleshooting steps there.
