Are there a common place in this car where it could leak very often?
Clarification: Mileage? What are the symptoms?

Well the compressors I generally the first thing to leak that's the only real moving part but of course it's a Ford any other connections can go bad where the hoses connect together for the condenser or the compressor or the evaporator inside the dash

UV dye or an electronic detector is usually used to look for leaks. On hoses and fittings you can use some soapy water as you would do to check for leaks in a tire. An electronic detector is usually needed to find evaporator leaks since with few exceptions that part will be found buried under the dashboard.
