When I start my car and turn on the A/C there is a loud squeaking noise that gets less noisy after a minute or two and goes away completely when I turn the A/C off by pressing the button.
Lexus ES330 2004 248k miles
AC blows cold, just noisy

Check condition of the fan belt and the belt-driven accessories and pulleys. If they are all OK it would most likely be the compressor clutch or the compressor itself.
