First off, I appreciate your content, Scott. I appreciate any help you can provide.
My question is, my wife's Acura MDX 2014 is sputtering at 40 mph. What would you recommend in terms of diagnosing and fixing the issue?

Could be a lot of things, possibly a clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. You could check fuel pressure. Spark plugs could be a problem if original and the vehicle has high mileage (you did not specify.) You could also record live data while the problem happens and analyze it for problems.
