Hey everyone! So I got “brand new” break pads and rotors probably about 3 weeks ago . Ever since they have been squeaking terribly lol. I took my car (06 Honda accord) back to the guys who did the work and he said he “wiped the rotors off and it wasn’t squeaking again”. As soon as I left the shop it was sure to be squeaking again.
at this point what should I do? I’m based out of Charlotte NC btw.
Sorry! I meant to add that I went to a shop and they did this work for me. I didn’t do this myself. They provided the break pads and rotors. I originally went for a strut replacement and they then told me I needed front rotors and pads.
Buy higher quality brake pads. I found the akebono pads never squeak
I didn’t provide the brake pads and rotors they did. If that makes sense. I went up there for a strut replacement and they ended out telling me I needed front rotors and break pads too
