Is it ok to buy a high mileage car with majority highway miles? I’m looking at a Acura rsx type s k20z1 6mt with 175k miles 1 owner clean title. I know Hondas and k motors can last a while but is it risky to buy a high mileage car with majority highway miles?
city miles are more harsh on a car than highway miles
175k miles and burning oil?
No thank you. My 04 Avalon has 165k miles (mix of highway and city driving) and at every 5k mile oil and filter change, the oil level is still at the maximum fill mark.
Why spend your hard earned money on someone else’s problem car? Probably this is the reason why the current owner is selling it.
If you don’t buy it, I will. Assuming it checks out. My only hesitation would be it is a type s, and people usually drive the heck out of them. But if it checks out, it checks out.
I talked to the owner and he said it does burn oil.
How much oil? Like a quart every 3000 miles? Or like a quart every 300 miles?

How are you going to verify this claim? Is there any hard evidence?
He claimed around 75% highway give or take no real proof though
Lol ‘he claimed’..
