2008 Mercury Grand Marquis won’t turn over

Hi I have a 08 mercury grand marquis. Battery is less then a year old. It won't start unless battery charger is connected to it. The car runs good but won't even turn over unless battery charger is connected. There's no warning lights or any indicators that come on while I drive. Does this sound like a bad alternator

It sounds like the battery has suffered an early failure which might or might not be related to an alternator problem. Have the battery or alternator been tested?

A good battery is useless if it's not getting properly charged.  Get the car started and put a meter on the battery.  If it reads around 14.5 volts, the alternator is OK.  If not. it's not.

check the ground cable, then the starter, then the alternator, then the battery, then a six pack of Bud.
