Hi Scotty, I’m considering buying a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser automatic 4WD with 200,000 miles on the odometer. If it has a reasonable amount of service records and looks and sounds solid am I crazy to buy it? They have great reliability ratings and I would immediately do a full fluid change (oil, trans, diffs, coolant) just to be safe. Thanks.
Forget the service records, what kind of shape is it actually in, right now?
Have you already had it inspected by your trusted mechanic? What did they think of it’s present condition?

I would not say you're nuts for debating it.
I'd only say that if you were buying one without having a mechanic check it out. If it passes an inspection, they can last a long time.
