hi, I have an issue on my car its on a car that I no that you don't admire. its a bmw. for the last few days I have suddenly started loosing anti freeze from the front of my car it isn't leaking inside the engine bay it looks like its coming from a hole at the bottom of the under tray dripping out but only when hot.
I had a water pump replacement along with thermostat back in the summer and ive only started having this issue now. the car runs fine it doesn't over heat and there is no other symptoms. when I fill the expansion tank with coolant to the right level I will drive about 10 miles and it will leak out. then the low coolant light comes on. ones the car has cooled down the leak will stop and the reservoir will be empty again. any ideas ? I have been testing a few theories out to see if I can get to the bottom of the issue before I go back to the garage for some answers

Perhaps when the water pump was installed a hose clamp wasn't tightened enough, or maybe you have a bad hose somewhere that wasn't noticed when the job was done and now it's leaking. Pressure-testing the cooling system should find the problem pretty quickly.
