I'm trying to buy a used car, and I found a 2013 Dodge Journey with 155,000 miles on it; it has the 4-cylinder Duel VVT engine and a 4-speed automatic FWD and the owner is asking 8K for it, Is it worth it? Or will I run into major problems soon?
They are terrible vehicles, prone to transmission failure and other expensive problems. Pretty much guaranteed to be a money pit.

Only if you like taking a Journey to a money pit.

asking 8K
Let’s just say you may end up regretting this minivan buying journey..
Scotty and this forum have already talked about that vehicle many times. Please do a search before posting. Stay away from it if you value your money.
I have a piston assembly from a 2010 Dodge Journey. It was in the junkyard, and the actual engine was all torn apart. I kept it for a garage ornament. Unless you like wasting money, stay away. That car was only 10 years old and was already in the salvage yard.
On a more serious not. I have a cousin who had the Dodge Journey. It was nothing but trouble. He dumped that thing, and got himself a Toyota Highlander and loves it.
Well now I know to stay away from it, Thanks for your help everyone!
