Topic starter
- I have a 2011 Dodge Caravan. I’ve had the battery , alternator, starter, etc tested everything tested good , but sometimes it won’t crank. I have even had it at the mechanic shop multiple times. What could cause this issue?

What could cause this issue?
Bad starter. Bad or loose battery cables. Bad ignition switch. Bad grounds. Bad electronic key or key reader. Flakey computer module.
Next time the starter doesn't crank hit it with a dead-blow hammer or a 2x4. Brush-type electric motors can develop a "dead spot" that causes them to intermittently not work. When that happens the vibration from hitting it can make it temporarily work.
@chucktobias also the mechanic hook the van to his machines it didn’t show any codes etc
That's not really relevant for this kind of problem. (There is no "code" for "my starter has a worn spot on its commutator".
