I’m curious if any one has actual proof or evidence that these are endless money pits, or on the flip side, of it actually saves you money over 5 to 10 years?
See below for one instance:

They consistently rank near the bottom for reliability, and have poor quality control and since you have to go to them for repairs, imagine what happens when the vehicle is out of warranty - $$$. That’s why I tell folks to lease them under warranty, and also to have another vehicle when their Tesla is disabled (either in the shop or waiting on parts - which can take a while, very frustrating). The Model S and X are crammed with so much high tech, don’t have to be rocket scientist to realize they can become money pits out of warranty.
Tesla has a serious issue: You need to go to the specific shops to do anything. Not only the DIY, you should also forget most of independent mechanics as well.
I think the only way it would possibly save you money would be if you lived in the city and did nothing but city driving.
Any EV is going to have a huge expense when the battery goes out.
