Are there any good years for Jeep Wrangler?

  1. My cousin really wants a Wrangler but I know basically nothing about them. Obviously being Chrysler products I don’t expect to hear that any of them are a good idea, but given that it is an older model maybe it’s not all bad news. Are there model years that have proven to be more reliable or is my initial gut reaction that they should all be avoided correct?

I’m not sure what to recommend as an alternative either, they don’t really seem to have much competition in this niche of smaller off-road vehicles.

The YJ (1986-1995) and TJ (1996-2006) models have the 4.0 I6 which are bulletproof engines. The JK (2007-2017) models are not terrible; the early ones have the 3.8 engine which can last some time. The later JK models (2011-2017) and JL models (2018-present) both have the 3.6 Pentastar V6 with either a 6-speed manual or ZF 8-speed automatic.

I would do some research first on those Jeep models that I mentioned.

As long as it below 2006 and is approved by Professional Mechanic and has less than 250000miles and are using as weekend car should last u long enough to get your money worth

If you want new one get Toyota 4 runner trd pro. Few thousand dollar more but hella reliable than so call Jeep name badge fiat chrysler
