Hello Scotty!
I really enjoy all of your you tube videos. I have question for you if you have the time. My 2006 RAV 4 Toyota 4 cylinder has a bad head gasket. No radiator leaks only a lot of gray smoke blows out of the tail pipe. Also, there is some small spits of oil coming out of the tail pipe hitting the garage floor. I changed the PVC valve thinking that might help which did not. I called the garage that maintains our car and they said if it is a blown head gasket it could cost as much as $3,000 to fix. In some cases the head has to be sent to a machine shop costing about $1,000 alone. They said they can check it out for about $100.00 and let me know for sure. I know there is a lot of work involved with this repair. Do you think that this cost that much?
I know there is a lot of other stuff that could enter into the picture.
Thanks,
Ken Clark

The average cost of a 4 cylinder head rebuild is $4-500. If I were in your situation, I'd find another shop to work with.
