Hi i have a 2006 dodge charger v6 2.7 and it has been leaking coolant since we bought it. We changed the thermostat, the radiator, and the radiator cap. A mechanic has already told us its a blown head gasket because it overheats, the reservoir sucks in lots of air, and i constantly have to put coolant in the reservoir. We hooked it up to a scanner and the scanner said that there was a problem in the 2nd cylindar and the 4th cylindar, and problems with the cooling system. We have put k seal for tractors in it, and also the bar leaks fix it head gasket. We have had no luck. Do you think the steel seal technique that you put on youtube would work for it?? Or is it too far gone?? This is the only car i have and right now i dont have a lot of money, is there anything that i can do to try to still use it for errands?? Thank you in advance.
It's too late for the band aid approach. You need new head gaskets, rebuilt cylinder heads and, if your smart, ARP head studs instead of head bolts.
Doc is right. Stick a fork in it, because it's done like dinner.
Better luck with the next one.
