One of the BMW issues is the excessive use of cheaply made plastic parts which are pretty expensive to replace when they brake. With that being said, your car is almost 12 years old, the mileage is very low but the age is the main factor for the plastic parts. Regarding your questions, I'm not sure if the plastic parts quality can be any different than in US, but hopefully you will get cheaper price for them.

ohh okay, thanks for the answer

Miles is low but the late 2000s were a very bad year everything is cheap plastic and with age it falls apart no matter what the mileage now that said if you get it cheaper like 3 grand and you use it as a weekend car it could be OK but the quality is not there.

okay, thank you for answering!

2009 Beemer? Sweden? 22,000 miles? $5,000? Who cares, … rust bucket, most likely, crumbling anything nonmetal! Beemers rust, … plastics deteriorate, rubber dries out, tires flop, …  by now, notorious rotating-propeller-badge reliability: … I would walk, seriously. But that’s me, …

F.S.

P.S.: German Auto Recycling Law (GERMAUTO) assure that all parts of the car are near 100% recyclable, … hence overall construction ( plus materials used) is catering towards this cause!
