Hey Scotty!!! I love you!
I have a project car with an engine code that popped up recently.
2001 BMW Z3 (red;) manual trans, 264,xxx miles, V6 3.0L
It usually drives and pulls smooth, but last week, under hard acceleration, I started to get a hesitation/skip in the engine and the SES light popped up. I ran my own scanner and got the code for ‘camshaft position sensor’ PO340
my question is...would the sensor itself be bad, or is the sensor telling me there’s an issue with something else?
I usually do my own car work with lots of help from your videos!
thanks a ton in advance!!!

pray it is the sensor because if it's not the sensor it can be the cam chain being stretched and it cost a fortune to replace one on that BMW engine
