My grandparents just gave me a 2004 rav4 fwd auto. It's been garage kept and only has 13345 miles on it. It really hasn't been driven much the past couple of years. On a test drive I noticed a little vibration and upon further inspection I noticed the tires are feathered(they're original tires!) I was planning on replacing all 5, checking all of the fluids, changing the oil, and putting in LED headlights. I was planning on using this for a commuter everyday(about 30 minutes each way). Is there anything else in particular I should look for? Also any recommendations on what type of tire I should get, I'm stuck between an All-season and an All-terrain because we do get some snow where I live.
Do all of the above + change the engine oil & transmission fluid and flush out all the other fluids. Your owner’s manual will have the exact quantities & types of fluids to use for each of the vehicle’s systems.
Get 5 good quality all season tyres like Michelins (other any other good quality made in USA brand).
Congratulations!
i would do the serpentine belt too, those things make me nervous lol
