Camaro Shaking/Rattling While At Low Revs

Hey Scotty, I owned a 1995 Manual Transmission Z28 Camaro for around 9 months now and I have noticed the violent shaking/rattling it does almost every time my revs are at a certain point in either 1st or 2nd gear, it does happen in 3rd gear but not as frequently as 1st and 2nd. The only way that I’ve found to stop the shaking is either by pushing the clutch in or use the brakes to make the revs go lower than 1,000. So my question is: What could cause the violent shaking to happen and how can I fix the issue?

Transmission mounts will definitely cause rattling at specific RPM's. I would start there.

Thanks for the help as well @mod_man

A failing transmission mount or loose transmission bolts could be the cause, so check those things first to be sure. You also need to look at the rear control arm bushings. could be the worn bushings are letting the rear unit move too much when at lower speed, which would throw the driveshaft angle out of balance when slowing or accelerating. A good excuse to pick up some good quality aftermarket adjustable control arms. The only other thing I can think of is the pinion bearing is worn or out of adjustment and allowing too much side movement. Lastly make sure the wheels are balanced correctly and the whole drivetrain is aligned.

Thanks for the help @0192700salt

You're welcome
