I bought a brand new Toyota Tacoma, on May 20th , 2020

i brought it home parked it in my driveway , disconnected the battery and have not started it or driven it any yet.

i know my battery may need a charge or I’ll just buy a new battery.

However ,

any suggestions before I start it and start driving it ?

oil should still be okay , right ?

I’m a long distance truck driver and when I come home I don’t feel like driving much.
I still am driving my 2007 Ford Fusion I bought brand new in 2007 and it has only 43,000 miles on it.
I’m tired of driving it so I bought the Toyota , but I’ve not driven it yet and I figure , it’s time
Is the oil still okay after a year and a half of sitting with only 20 miles on the vehicle ?

Why would you do that on a new car? The purpose of buying a new car is to replace your daily driver and sell your old one or keep your old one and use it as a knock around, weekend, extra or back-up car.

Check the oil, transmission fluid and coolant. Make sure the battery is charged.

You don't need a new battery
