Engine runs normally and coolant like has never come on. There is no temp gauge
i had my radiator flushed a few months ago. I checked the fluid level today and saw the coolant is brown colored instead of red. The oil is fine and so is my automatic transmission fluid. What does the brown color mean? Is it serious?
Brown like chocolate milkshake? Can you post a photo/video of it?
Also, always mention the year, make, model & mileage of your vehicle in your opening post.

Okay, flush your entire cooling system again now and check if it still reappears down the road. Do a PROPER flush. Watch Scotty’s or Chris Fix’s videos on how-to. Including your heater core.
Since you say watered down chocolate milk colour, I’d do a test to check the condition of the head gasket.
When you say flush, do you mean 100% removal of all the coolant or just a drain of the radiator?
I’m assuming a drain and fill. It was done at a NTB service garage. It’s not dark brown but kinda like a watered down chocolate milk color
The first thing I’m saying to myself is if it was just a drain and fill, 50% of the old coolant they couldn’t get out has mixed with the new coolant. Is the car running at normal temperature per your temp gauge? Do you have any check engine light on?
True, if the coolant was never changed before that.
He said he doesn't have a temp guage
I see the video posted, i doubt it’s a head gasket, but anything is possible.
you could check for exhaust gases, what year, make, and mileage?
I think he said 2013 scion xd, 110k
He’s gonna have to take it back where he had it done, something seems fishy here.
When you had coolant flushed a few months ago, do you know if it was red at that time? Most of us wouldn’t check something like that right after the work was done. Maybe something other than red was put in and/or maybe not all the old coolant was flushed out.
