Hi, I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS Automatic, and I recently cleaned out the air intake/throttle opening, as well as the MAF sensor because of rough idling and now it now long rough idles but now after about a week of smooth driving the Service Engine light is on and there is a burning smell when I accelerate from complete stop and when I'm going 60 on the freeway/highway. It's not a very strong smell but pungent enough to be concerning. Please let me know as soon as you can.

P.S. I love the YouTube channel and they've been really helpful so far!

Look for oil leaks in the engine bay, most likey the valve cover gasket is leaking.

Why did you post this twice, 7 minutes apart? (That's enough time that it wasn't a matter of accidentally hitting the red button twice while posting.) For future reference please take note of the following in the forum rules. Thank you.

Sorry for the double post, I had bad service and thought it hadn't originally sent, so I tried again.

No problem, just keep it in mind for the future. When in doubt bring the main page up and refresh it. Your post will appear there if it was successful.
