Hi Scotty, I'm looking at buying a Mazda for my daughter to take to go to University. I'm considering any Mazda 3, or CX-5 (trying to avoid smaller Mazda's Like Mazda 2).
I want to buy one that does NOT have the Jatco transmission or timing belt. I'm in Canada and hoping to spend $6,500 CDN or less. What year did Mazda stop using the Jatco Transmissions & timing belts? I want to make sure to get the right year. Is there a simple way to identify a Jatco transmission?
No simple way but most of them in the past five six years don't have jadco transmissions and you can just get the VIN number of any car you're looking at call the dealer parts department they can tell you if it is the timing belt or a chain most of the new ones have changed
