I’m currently looking at a Nissan 280zx 2+2 for three grand I’m unsure if it’s a turbo or non turbo model. Vehicle looks a little bit beat up tires are flat, bottom half of the front bumper is missing besides that it looks like it’s in ok shape. Owner says that the mechanic holding the car for him says that it’ll start up without too much effort. I’m still in talks with the owner going to have my dad’s mechanic check it out. What red flags should I look out for?
Rust is a big issue you need to watch for.
Any of those mid to late 70's even early 80's Datsun's, ( insert model name here) are prone to rust. A guy I worked with had a B210, you could see the road thru all the holes in the floor pan. And this was around 1988 time frame when I worked with him.
