Which car would you consider buying for driving ride-share (Uber)? A 2012 Toyota Venza with 21,000 miles for $18,500 or a 2020 Chevy Impala with 21,100 miles for $18,700 both with six(6) cylinder engines from different dealerships.

IF the Toyota’s mileage is genuine & the seller has proof, get it after it’s inspected thoroughly by a professional mechanic.

Definitely the Toyota.

Toyota hands down, the Impalas are junk and they don't hold up over time with those V6 engines.

Go with the Venza, as long as a mechanic first checks it out and gives the OK.  Like InThrustWeTrust mentioned, have the mechanic verify the mileage because 21,000 miles in 9 years seems odd.

For Uber, you need a car that gives you the least downtime and the Toyota will outshine the Chevrolet Impala in that regard - but first make sure a mechanic checks it out.

The Impala has come a long way away from its redneck roots.

18 grand seems ridiculous for a venza though. They were a total flop and have been discontinued for a long time.

I wouldn't really buy a Venza myself but they can be ok.
