who cares about tint and tires. What about the $28,000 battery?

Make sense

No way; buy a Toyota plug in hybrid or regular hybrid. Forget about that rolling pile of junk.

See below:  pass on it.  The bumper to bumper warranty is expired so you’d be on the hook for any electrical issues.

Thank you

You neglected to mention a price.

An out of warranty battery replacement would cost $20k-30k. There are many better choices out there than this disposable rolling pile of junk that makes no financial sense.

Also, insurance for EVs and Teslas in particular is very high.

Per NerdWallet, below are the median annual insurance rates by Tesla model, ranked from cheapest to most expensive:

  1. Model 3 ($2,574).

  2. Model Y ($2,905).

  3. Model S ($3,785).

  4. Model X ($3,861).

These rates are for full coverage insurance for good drivers with good credit.

If you want to go electrified, just get a Toyota hybrid.

Should I buy this car

It’s 5 years old - in about 3 years the battery warranty will run out and who knows how much more it’ll last?

If you want a toy for 3 years, eh why not they’re interesting cars - but definitely do not keep after battery warranty ends.

As nice as EVs are, longevity is still an issue - so just I wouldn’t buy one USED.

Out of warranty it’s scary.

I’d recommend buying something else instead like a used luxury car or maybe a brand new Corolla (for how much Teslas go for) and enjoy it while Tesla battery reliability becomes clear.

Only if the battery was taken car off and it is a good price. Most people don’t take care of their batteries.

And when I say taking car of the battery, always using slow overnight charging, never using super charging, not living or driving in extreme temperatures.

Super charging kills a battery life.  The more you do it, the faster it will die.
