Poor choice. Are you prepared to shell out several thousand dollars when the cheap roller lifters fail and you need to replace them and the cam?
they depreciate horribly
It's a beautiful car! But a 5.7 V8 engine that produces 372 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque as a daily driver? Whoo-wee!
Do you know how the original owner treated and maintained it? Did they do a burnout at every stoplight or normal driving with the occasional display of power? I mean a fella just doesn't buy a car like that to be left behind by every Prius, Camry or 4 cylinder turbo VW on the road.
I do not have the mechanical knowledge that others possess on this forum, but I would think that a high performance car like this would be expensive to maintain and repair. You asked about the engine compartment space. Is this a vehicle that you are capable of working on?
The EPA estimate for fuel economy is: 16 city/25 highway/19 combined. Reviews say that the ride is smooth and quiet in city or highway driving. Only you can decide if this is the right car for you.
