Which one is historically more reliable? I dont know if I should get the 2021 model camera or corolla.

@grandmaster64
I’m gona say camry when it comes to buying a new one. I just don’t like CVT.

@grandmaster64
Pretty similar. If you prefer having a slightly smaller/lighter vehicle. Get a Camry. I would also advise getting a used vehicle instead of brand new for financial reasons. But if you’re willing to spend the extra money on buying a new vehicle, go with whatever you want of the two. Both are reliable and will last a long time.

Average to average, take your pick. Honda is good too, but Toyota doesn't use turbo yet.

@jamesedavis
I honestly don't need turbo. That will just be another thing that will break over time. I dont drive for fun, only to go on the highway to get to work. I dont need acceleration. And I honestly don't need anything that goes over 85 mph (only for passing a car at 70 miles an hour)

@jamesedavis
If given a choice of turbo/no turbo in about the same type of car, I'd take no turbo.

I have 2014 Corolla, CVT with 70K miles and zero problems. I average 43 mpg combined city/hwy. The Camry rides better, quieter too.

@shady-tree
The Camry has an 8 speed ECT-i instead of a cvt. Could that potentially be more reliable?

Both of them are good. Just avoid the Corolla hatchback.

@yaser
Both are different tho. Corolla has a cvt and a regular 1.8l 4cylinder. The camry has a 8 speed ECT-i and a 2.5l 4 cylinder dynamic force (what ever df means)
