2004 VW Passat 1.8t caught fire in the left side of the engine. The engine and everything else is fine. I am wondering if it is worth fixing. I have been struggling financially so I just want to know if it is worth fixing. I had no insurance at the time it caught fire so it's basically a loss.
Clarification: What is the mileage? Also, engine and transmission?
It had around 177,000 miles on it. It was is a 4 cylinder, automatic transmission.
How bad is the damage? A photo of it would go a long way.
Don't bother. I say this as a VW enthusiast.
You'll never get out of that financial hole you find yourself in.
I've come to the realization that yes, I need to let it go. It was a good 3 years with this car .
Have you figured out how.much it would cost to fix? Alot depends on price and the overall quality of the vehicle. I would most likely say no..
I have been struggling financially so I just want to know if it is worth fixing.
Fire or no fire, this is your cue to get rid of it if you can get anything for it.
