Car jerking acceleration

Car: 2012 Hyundai Veloster

Transmission: Manual

Miles: 130,000

My car has an issue where when I medium to hard accelerate it starts to jerk and sometimes flashes the check engine light(Missfire code). After I ease of throttle it stops and check engine stops and doesn't appear anymore.

I tried spark plugs and it fixes it for like a month or two then it does it again. The car has black smut, so idk it could be bad map sensor.

Thanks

Non Turbo By the way.

It could be, but have you tried checking the fuel filter? If its clogged it can't get enough fuel to run at higher throttle.

I will have to check that. Im not sure what else I could check besides that. By the way im using Iridium ngk plugs so I dont think it could be that.

Iridium plugs are good. If you've already checked them, the issue is something else.

I was once told by a mechanic that I should get my car retuned because they say my car needs one after 100,000 miles. Idk though. Car is supper reliable besides that.

He probably just meant a tune up which is basic maintenance. But not an actual retune...there's no need for that.
