Hello there. I have a 2005 Buick LaCrosse CXL with the 3.8L V6 and 4-Speed Automatic Transmission. The car rides fine, but when it comes to hills, it seems like it struggles to get up them fast enough. It really struggles if it’s a very steep hill. Am I not stepping or stomping on the gas like I should be or is it something else?

When was the last time you changed your fuel filter, replaced the air filter, cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors ans changed the spark plugs?
I don’t think any of that was done for a long time. I bought the car used 3 years ago.
A good place to start then.

Have catalytic converter checked for blockage/excessive back pressure.
