More of a comment but hurricane Ida has given us a whole new batch of flooded cars. We thought car prices were already high? What’s next?

That’s why any guesses when used car prices will return to “normal” or “what will the future hold?” are fool’s errands.

People will definitely need to use extra caution looking at used cars. Maybe Scotty can do a "flood car special" video on what to watch out for and talking about the sneaky tricks sellers use to try to disguise flood damage.
