Hi Scotty, this is my first time buying a car, an affordable one. Should you recommend me go for flooded cars? I just know they get dumped because the insurances have to give them up.
Never, ever buy any vehicle with a salvage/rebuilt title. That's my normal advice.
I would add to that, ESPECIALLY never ever buy a flooded car. Take it from someone who does it all the time: rewiring an entire car, especially when you have never done it before, is nowhere even close to being worth it regardless of the price. And that's just the wiring. The motor could be bad, just so many nightmare scenarios. Even with an entire shop full of specialized tools and decades of experience, I do not at all look forward to tracking down electrical problems. Particularly in modern cars with a ton of electronics.
Please don't waste your money. Everyone else here is telling you exactly right: don't do it.
No, stay away from flooded cars, regardless of the price. How many times has Scotty warned us to have a vehicle inspected and verified it has not been wrecked, flooded, stolen, etc.?
NO!! Flood cars are never a good buy.
If it's an Amphicar, maybe,,,,,,,,
otherwise
NO!
Seems like all you would have to do is replace the modules/computers depending on how high the water got. I look at car auction sites and they are tempting but no, I would never try it.
Just avoid buying one at all costs.
Not just no, but HELL NO !!!!
