1999 Chevy Prizm is reading a high temp i changed sensors the one under the ignition coil and the one one the thermostat housing i even changed the water pump.
it seem to me that coolant just isn’t circulating through the radiator, the engine get hot but the radiator stay cold could there be some king of blockage keeping the coolant from passing through the radiator to cool the engine? or is there a possible clog in the engine?
Thank You
Yes. Did you change the thermostat itself? How old is it? How old is the radiator cap?
yes, New thermostat, the radiator cap is in good shape
Did you burp all of the air out? Not enough coolant can cause overheating as well as a blockage. You should've flushed out the engine's coolant jackets when you had the water pump off.
yes, and yea i should have did a bit more research and look to see what else i could have done while i was changing the water pump
