Hi Scotty, I have a 2013 Honda Civic LX. 75000 Miles. Once in a while when turning the ignition the car won’t turn or crank over, I just get a single click coming from the hood. I have to give it a couple turns before it actually cranks over and starts. I took the vehicle to a mechanic and they said everything was fine. I guess they didn’t look hard enough. Everything is fine with no codes and the vehicle has power. Not sure what the issue is but I thought to ask you! Thank you! Ps I do have videos to provide.
Check the battery cable ends. I bought a car that had a new battery installed. Everything tested good and looked good. I checked the spark plugs and when I went to put the negative cable back on I noticed a green ring on the inside of the cable. Sometimes people overlook small things that cause big problems.
If the battery and all connections check out good, I'd be looking at the ignition switch itself for a problem, then the starter motor.
